Negash
lodge is located in Ethiopia in a town called Wolliso found in the
Oromia region. It is situated around 114 km away from the capital city Addis
Ababa. The Lodge was first built in the 1930s and was used as a holiday
home, due to its natural hot springs which many believe has healing powers.
It was built on vast land, approximately 90,000 sq. m. and incorporates vast
forestry, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and various wildlife. In the
late 1940's it was named Ghion Hotel, and was one of Ethiopia's biggest
honeymoon destinations. By the late 1950's it was renamed Ethiopia Hotel
before being privatized in 2005 and called Negash Lodge.
